The first meeting of the New Year, 24th January saw business representatives from across Andover and the surrounding areas gather together at the newly renovated Hatters for catch-ups, coffee, and delicious cooked breakfasts to-boot!
Welcoming new faces, amongst seasoned and long-term members, those attending were warmly greeted by Members Secretary, Adam Phillips of Santander, who informed the room of upcoming events, and initiatives of interest taking place within the town; including Andover Vision, and public forums surrounding the possibility of the Andover BID, before passing over to the month’s Guest Speaker, Jon Booth.
Jon, of Your Mind Your Body – an Andover-based Chiropractor – began his talk with a fascinating success story involving a recent client who had experienced back pain and loss of movement following an accident but, after only a few sessions with Jon, had made an incredible recovery. He then went on to inform guests of his upcoming fundraising activities for children’s disability charity Whizz-Kids, and his intentions of raising enough money to support his friend’s son, who has Cerebral Palsy, to purchase a new wheelchair in order that he gain more independence.
If you’d like to know more about this fundraising activity, and how you can get involved, please visit Jon’s fundraising page.
